The financial services sector is changing rapidly. The long term failure of retail financial service companies to deliver an acceptable value proposition, the commoditisation of key products, the introduction of new distribution models, the disruption of the recession and the introduction of new regulation (RDR) are all driving this change.

New entrants from the retail and other sectors are taking advantage of these changes causing increased competition. As these firms combined with the survivors from the traditional FS sector start to move forward they will need to make significant investments in their front office operations.
The key responsibilities of this role are: • Developing new and existing FS accounts by selling in other Solution Groups.
• Delivering an individual revenue target (circa £1.5m per annum in consulting revenue) and leading delivery of client engagements managing teams of 5 – 15 consultants.
• Undertake the role of Engagement Manager, managing resources within the agreed budget to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations. • Relationship development at Board level retail FS companies to inform solutions and to leverage sales • Support account and relationship management activities • Lead the development of propositions providing delivery expertise and financial services, sales, marketing and distribution knowledge. • Bring new relationships and additional credibility to the existing retail Financial Services team.

The key qualifications and experience required are: • Extensive business development and delivery expertise within a Financial Services sales, marketing and distribution context. • Will have led projects to redefine front office operating models, implement new distribution channels, integrate service propositions across multiple channels, segment client portfolios, implement CRM solutions or develop sales capability. • Established account management track record. • Strong reputation and contact network within the senior FS community. • Demonstrable track record in developing and selling consulting business solutions in the finance sector. Knowledge of and a network of contacts in the retail banking or retail insurance sector or life and pensions industry.
