I am working with Bradford Council who are looking for a number of HR Business Partners for 3 months.

The roles are full time, to start urgently and paying £15.20 PAYE or £18.86 Umbrella per hour. The roles are in scope of IR35.

Key Purpose of the Role: To support the development and delivery of the HR strategy and functional plans in line with Council objectives.

  • The post holder will develop trusted relationships with colleagues across the Council in order to fully understand the needs of the organisation so they can deliver appropriate HR support and advice to a range of stakeholders.

Key areas of the Role:

  • Application of redeployment and redundancy processes.
  • Dealing with major change, restructuring and assimilation processes.
  • Report writing and assisting with writing role profiles
  • Working with Trade Unions and experience of project management.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • To work on themed HR projects as determined by the Head of HR, Senior BPs or ER Manager.
  • Maintain and continually develop a strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice as it relates to all aspects of people management and the employment relationship.
  • Provide credible advice and support to managers on workforce planning and resourcing matters including S188 processes, change management, TUPE, complex terms and conditions, in line with policies and procedures recommending review and development where necessary.
  • Develop strong, pro-active partnerships with managers to drive up standards of conduct, performance and attendance to improve organisational efficiency.
  • Have an overview of case activity and respond to escalations appropriately and in line with agreed objectives and targets.
  • Use information provided by HRplus and SAP pro-actively to provide accurate, up to date, intelligence to address areas of improvement.
  • Undertake specific HR project work as required.
  • Support the negotiation and consultation with trade unions on all workforce issues including local and national agreements and terms and conditions in line with the IR Framework and all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Carry out Equality Impact Assessments in relation to the introduction of new legislation, changes to / introduction of HR strategies, processes and procedures and workforce monitoring.
  • Participate in Job Evaluation Panels and Officer Appeals Panels as required.
