My client are currently recruiting for a Technology Risk Consultant to work for a consultancy firm based in the City of London

Your Responsibilities include:

· Business development of GRC through:

o Attendance of client meeting (existing and new) and progression of these discussions into proposals and opportunities.

o Leverage existing 'black book' to open up new client meetings / accounts.

o Organisation (and possible hosting) of an event every 3 to 4 months (e.g. Conference, panel discussion, speaking engagement, golf day, dinner etc.)

o Publishing white papers on technology risk and control related themes

· Maintain and improve the marketing and sales collateral of GRC, focussing on tech risk offerings (examples: Risk Control Reviews, Target Operating Models, ControlNet implementations, Regulatory assessments, Control Reporting capabilities)

· Take the lead consultant role on engagements - be responsible for the management of the client and co-ordination back into GRC.

· Meet an agreed utilisation target

· Recruitment - play a lead role in managing the hiring process for consultants and associates for GRC proposition working closely with internal sourcing partners.

· Supporting the US and Ireland businesses as appropriate.

· Cross fertilisation with other propositions - work closely alongside the other proposition leads within to better understand their offerings and products and identify how to help them realise opportunities from our client meetings and vice versa.

· Develop strong client relations at senior executive and CXO levels, developing new business insights, and working with the wider business to deliver practical, implementable solutions.

  • Engage with the marketing team to promote the Tech Risk offering
  • Owning responses to RFI/RFPs, working with the Practice leads and SME's to ensure our proposals are presented in a professional manner, increasing the probability of success.

· Responsible for the effective use of the Salesforce platform within the company, maintaining high quality data to support marketing, prospecting and the management of all sales opportunities and engagements.


  • Proven track record of successfully managing both small and large engagements at a top tier services / consulting firm
  • Good understanding of how risk is managed within the technology environment (including Cyber)
  • Strong management & leadership skills preferably developed in the financial services industry
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrable ability to achieve stretched goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Awareness of key financial services and consultancy trends
  • Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to interact with senior executives, junior employees and clients
  • Strong academic record
  • Minimum of 10 years of delivery experience within financial services
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills - proven record of building and maintaining relationships at senior (CXO and CXO-1) levels
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve business & product strategy based on research, data and industry trends

· Ability to generate respect and trust from staff, shareholders and external stakeholde
