The Strategic Asset Manager role will provide us with the expertise to cover both operational and strategic knowledge to get the best out of our properties. Your skill set means that you understand building types, you ask the right questions from the data and you feed into the big picture on resident needs for their properties. Origin's portfolio of over 6,500 homes across central London and Hertfordshire ranges from mansion blocks to cutting edge new sustainable developments and is one of the more diverse in the sector.

Your natural instinct will to start by overseeing the collection, reporting and assessment of accurate data to make sensible investment decisions and plans to improve the value and return on investment for our properties. You can plan for the long-term management of our assets, accounting for existing and evolving property standards and resident expectations. You are comfortable presenting and writing succinct and well-costed reports setting out options and reviews of assets for both the executive team and board.

The successful candidate will be commercially astute and able to shape and control projects to ensure risk is fully assessed, and plan procurement to achieve best value and positive continuous contractor relationships. You will be someone who enjoys coordinating your team, setting the leadership tone on standards, regulation, project management methodology and embedding customer service. The role involves being a committed member of the senior management team, working collaboratively with your colleagues to embed asset management within the organisation.
