Job Title: Head of IT & Information Governance - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Duration: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Initially with the potential to extend)

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: Circa £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

A large, well known organisation are recruiting for an experienced Head of IT with strong Information Governance experience to join them on an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Ideally you will have experience of working within the NHS area, or have worked within a large Hospice or Healthcare Provider.


You will work closely with board members to develop and manage the implementation and delivery of a new and effective IT System as well as overhaul and introduce a cutting edge IT Strategy and Information Governance plan. You will operate as the 'Technical Lead' ensuring that there is a highly secure, flexible and resilient infrastructure to provide reliable IT services across the organisation.


You will have strong and in-depth Information Governance knowledge and have a thorough understanding of GDPR compliance requirements. You'll also lead on Information Security in line with ISO27001.


You'll assess emerging technologies for value and validity and ensure that the organisation is working with the latest technologies where possible. You will also help manage project staff on the implementation of new systems and new solutions to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in Head of IT or similar role, with IT Governance and IT Security a key part of your role
  • Experience within the NHS, or a large Hospice or healthcare provider is highly desirable
  • Experience of successfully leading teams through organisation change and shaping departments to achieve success.
  • Experience of working with Business Critical IT Systems.
  • Experience of thorough knowledge of GDPR and ISO27001.
