SAP UK & Ireland User Group

The organization and the mission

The SAP UK & Ireland User Group is an independently run professional organization that serves and supports the SAP user community in the UK and Ireland. It offers SAP users numerous opportunities to network, exchange their experiences and stay updated on the latest industry trends and developments by attending different events organized by the Group.

Even though it maintains a close alliance with SAP, the company, the SAP User Group is primarily an independent channel of communication between the software company and the users of its products. It is both the medium through which SAP users can influence the software manufacturer and, at the same time, it also serves as the platform for SAP to address its customers.

The SAP User Group is managed by the User Group Executive, a group of volunteers who dedicate their time to running it.

The Group is involved in organizing different events for the benefit of its members: presentations of new SAP strategies and future endeavours, conferences at which members can discuss product development, global and local strategy, the latest industry events, acquisitions, solutions, and so on.

SAP UK & Ireland User Group: membership criteria

Only companies that are licensed SAP users are eligible for full membership in the SAP User Group. Beyond that one requirement, the application process is very simple and only includes filling out a form on the Group's website and applying either for a trial or full membership. In the interest of protecting its members, the SAP User Group does not forward membership information to third parties.

Membership benefits at the SAP UK & Ireland User Group

The SAP UK & Ireland User Group organizes a great number of presentations, conferences and other events at which members have the opportunity to discuss topics related to SAP software implementation and product development.

The User Group has many Special Interest Groups (SIGs) which delve into specific areas of interest related to SAP software and support. They meet in cities across the UK throughout the year. The Special Interest Groups cover a wide range of interests, from audit and finance to human resources, training and project systems. Attendance is free for up to two representatives from each member firm. This not only keeps the member firms informed on the latest developments in the industry, but also provides their employees with a valuable opportunity to network with their colleagues from related industries.

Membership also allows companies to submit development requests to SAP through the User Group.

SAP User Group members have access to the discussion forums and online event bookings on the SAP UK & Ireland User Group website.
